Making a Difference - Step by Step

WHAT? The Chicago CROP Walk, sponsored by Church World Service is one of 2000 CROP Walks held each year in communities throughout the USA.
WHY?

25% of the Walk funds raised will stay in Chicago to benefit local agencies such as:

  • Catholic Peace & Justice Office
  • Chicago Presbyterian Hunger Fund
  • Humboldt Park Social Services
  • Interfaith Council for the Homeless
  • Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation
  • Uptown Ministries
  • Episcopal Hunger Commission
  • Marcy-Newberry Association
  • Interfaith Refugee & Immigration Ministries
  • Mercy Hospital Christmas Basket Program

75% of the funds will be used to fight global hunger (including work in the USA) through Church World Service, Catholic Relief Services, Lutheran World Relief, UNICEF, and many other global agencies...as designated by donors.

WHO? People of all ages, all faiths, and all ethnic groups from throughout the Chicagoland area. We are seeking individuals, teams of friends, and groups from churches, synagogues, schools, and businesses. It's easy to walk (wheelchairs and strollers welcome) and to get friends, family, coworkers to give donations to sponsor your efforts. Join in and go as far as you can...There will be transportation back to the start for people who don't go the entire 10K distance. Everyone is welcome... together we can make a difference in the fight against hunger!
